Updates on Home Office Expenses

Finally, CRA realised details on new methods to claim home office expenses. Noe we have two methods:
  1. Temporary Simplified method. You can use this method if in 2020 you worked from home more than 50 % of the working time at least four consecutive weeks. To forms signed by your employee is required for this method You can claim $ 2 for each day you worked from home up to $ 400 per individual.

  2. Detailed Method.To use this method, you need to have Form T2200S and T777S signed by your employees. E signature will be accepted.
